You’ve seen it on the news and in your own organization – how can we be more “Green”? It’s an environmental concern that has a real business impact. But how can good records and information management practices be green?
For starters, good RIM helps conserve trees by properly managing messages when in electronic form – so they never have to become paper. Having a secure recycling program is another clear way good information management helps conserve resources.
In what other ways do you think good RIM policies are green? Do you have other suggestions for how information management can be green?
Tell us what you think.

"Is RIM Green?" What?
Saving trees is not the responsibility of a RIM program. Paper is produced using pulpwood especially developed and grown on plantations for that purpose.
I would rather see questions or discussion on how RIM programs help reduct identity theft, or protects trade secrets or other more vital issues than "is RIM green"
If ARMA wants to promote the profession then focus on the real issues that we have an impact upon
